The STIGA Tornado 2098 ride-on mower is designed for those wanting to cut grass with the side discharge function or using the mulching plug - the mulching function cuts and re-cuts the grass into small particles that disappear into the turf, returning valuable nutrients to the soil. Mulching is a great feature. It saves so much time and cutting the lawn can be more than 30% quicker as there is no need to stop to empty clippings which also results in a significant fuel saving. You may well ask “Will I see the mulched grass?” and the answer is “No!” Mulched clippings are blown down into the turf and are not noticeable provided the grass is cut regularly and not on the lowest setting.
.With an attractive, modern look, this ride-on garden tractor is powered by a STIGA engine with a net power output of 6.5 kW @ 2800 rpm. The Tornado 2098 has a manual transmission and a 98 cm cutting deck with two blades and 2 anti-scalp wheels. The cutting height can be adjusted to 7 positions (from 25 to 80 mm) using a lever next to the driving seat, whilst the blades are activated by an electromagnetic clutch at the touch of a button. The Tornado 2098 features a raised soft-grip steering wheel. Battery charger, front bumper and mulching plug included.
